Description

Support multiplication learning with this Easter Themed Year 2 Array worksheet, designed to help children develop a secure understanding of multiplication through arrays. This resource encourages pupils to make clear connections between equal groups, repeated addition and multiplication, building strong foundations in early multiplication.

Children are presented with six different arrays and are asked to represent each one in two ways: first as a repeated addition number sentence, and then as a multiplication number sentence. This helps children visualise how arrays are organised into rows and columns, deepening their understanding of how multiplication works.

The activity reinforces key Year 2 multiplication facts, focusing on the 2s, 5s and 10s, while also supporting the correct use of mathematical language and symbols, including × and =. By working with arrays, children develop confidence in recognising patterns and understanding the structure of multiplication calculations.

This worksheet is ideal for whole-class teaching, independent practice, or use as an assessment task during the spring term. The Easter theme adds a seasonal touch that helps keep children motivated and engaged while practising important maths skills.
