Description

Make Year 6 maths and coordinate practice engaging with this Remembrance Day themed coordinate codebreaker. This activity combines Year 6 arithmetic with four-quadrant coordinates, giving children an enjoyable way to practise their maths skills while uncovering a meaningful Remembrance Day message.

Children complete 14 pairs of maths calculations. The first answer gives the x-coordinate and the second answer gives the y-coordinate. They then plot each coordinate on a four-quadrant grid and find the corresponding letter. Once all 14 coordinates have been plotted, the hidden message is revealed:
