Description
Make fractions engaging with this Remembrance Day themed Year 3 maths worksheet. Poppy Fractions gives children the opportunity to practise recognising, finding and comparing simple fractions using colourful poppy-themed activities.
Children work with groups of poppies to identify fractions and develop their understanding of fractions as parts of a whole. The worksheet includes activities such as identifying what fraction of the poppies are shaded, finding what fraction are unshaded, colouring a given fraction and comparing simple fractions.
The resource is designed to support Year 3 fractions learning and provides practice with familiar fractions such as 1/2, 1/4, 3/4 and other simple fractions. The visual poppy images make the activity accessible and provide a practical way for children to see fractions rather than working only with abstract numbers.
