Description
These Nursery Winter Puzzle Strips are a hands-on maths resource designed to support early counting, number recognition and one-to-one correspondence through play-based learning.
Children complete simple number puzzles by matching numerals in order from 1 to 5, helping them develop confidence with early number concepts in a calm, winter-themed context. The resource is designed to be laminated and reused, making it ideal for continuous provision and small group work.
This activity supports key Development Matters (Birth to 5 Matters) objectives for Nursery (3–4 years) and provides appropriate progression into Reception learning.
The puzzle strips help children to:
