Cookies

This page lists every cookie this website puts on your computer, what each one is for and how long it lasts. We do not use any tracking or advertising cookies. Nothing here counts you, profiles you, or follows you to another site.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small note a website leaves in your browser so that it can recognise you when you come back to a page. It cannot read anything else on your computer and it cannot run a program.

Why this site does not ask you to accept cookies

You have probably noticed that most websites open with a box asking you to accept cookies. The law requires that box for cookies that are not needed to run the site, which in practice means the ones that count visitors or advertise to them.

This site sets neither. Everything below either keeps you signed in and the site working, or remembers a choice you made yourself, such as bigger type. Asking your permission for those would be asking about something you have already decided, so we would rather show you the list.

Needed for the site to work

These do the thing you just asked for, such as keeping you signed in. The site cannot work without them, so there is nothing to switch off.

mtc-accountKeeps you signed in to your membership, so you are not asked for your password on every page.Until you sign out.

mtc-demo-stateRemembers which kind of account the site is being viewed as when somebody from Master the Curriculum is checking a page. It is never set for an ordinary visitor.Until you close the browser.
mtc-demo-boxTells the page, before it draws, which heading to show when somebody from Master the Curriculum is checking a page. It opens nothing and it is not used to decide what you may see.Until you close the browser.
mtc-consentRemembers whether you agreed to being counted, so you are not asked again on every page. It is only written after you press something, and it records your answer either way.Six months, or until you change your mind.

Choices you made yourself

These only exist because you pressed something. You can clear them in your browser at any time and the site will simply forget.

Counting visitors

We do not use any. Nothing on this site counts you, profiles you or reports on you.

None. This site sets no cookies of this kind.

Advertising

We do not use any. Nothing on this site advertises to you or follows you to another one.

None. This site sets no cookies of this kind.

Turning them off

Every browser lets you see the cookies a site has left and delete them, usually under Settings and then Privacy. If you delete the ones above, the site will simply forget your choices and sign you out. Nothing breaks.

If this ever changes

If we ever add something that counts visitors, this page will say so and you will be asked first. That is not a promise on a page: the site will not build unless the two agree.
