Bring some festive fun into your classroom with this engaging Christmas logic puzzle for Year 5 and Year 6! This Christmas-themed reasoning activity challenges children to use logic, deduction and problem-solving skills to work out which elf has which job, wears which coloured hat and wrapped which present. The activity features four categories for children to investigate: π§ Elf names π© Hat colours π Presents π οΈ Elf jobs Children are given a series of clues and must use the logic grids to determine the correct combination for each elf. Rather than simply working through the clues one at a time, pupils will need to carefully compare information, make deductions and use ticks and crosses to eliminate possibilities. This makes the activity an excellent opportunity for children to practise logical reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving while enjoying a fun Christmas classroom activity. The puzzle is suitable for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils and can be used as a Christmas lesson activity, independent task, early-finisher challenge, partner activity or festive end-of-term resource. The challenge encourages children to think systematically and explain how they have used the clues to reach their answers. It is particularly useful for developing confidence with deduction and reasoning, while providing a fun alternative to more traditional Christmas worksheets. β Suitable for Year 5 and Year 6 β Christmas-themed logic and reasoning activity β Develops deduction and problem-solving skills β Uses logic grids, ticks and crosses β Suitable for independent or paired work β Ideal for Christmas lessons and end-of-term activities β Answers included A fun and challenging Christmas elf logic puzzle that will keep children engaged while putting their reasoning and deduction skills to the test!
This pack is print and go. Our catalogue does not list an editable copy of it, so none is offered here rather than promising a file nobody has opened. Page counts are not printed either, because we do not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
