This Year 1 maths activity for NSPCC Number Day helps children practise counting in ones and twos through an engaging footprint-themed task. Children study images showing sets of footprints and work out the total number by choosing an appropriate counting strategy. The resource includes two separate counting activities, encouraging children to apply skip counting in twos as well as counting in ones. It supports number fluency, careful observation and early reasoning skills while giving pupils opportunities to explain how they reached their answers. Ideal for Year 1 classrooms, this activity is perfect for celebrating NSPCC Number Day in February while reinforcing key maths skills in a fun, visual and accessible way.
This pack is print and go. Our catalogue does not list an editable copy of it, so none is offered here rather than promising a file nobody has opened. Page counts are not printed either, because we do not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
