This Year 3 maths activity for NSPCC Number Day helps children practise counting, addition and subtraction through a fun spring garden-themed challenge. Children explore number sequences to work out how many flowers in Leanna’s garden are hidden by a puddle. They use reasoning and pattern recognition to identify the missing flowers, developing confidence with number sequences and problem-solving skills. The resource also includes an extension activity, where children design their own counting problems for a partner to solve. This encourages creativity, deeper understanding, and mathematical communication, making it ideal for Year 3 classrooms celebrating NSPCC Number Day.
This pack is print and go. Our catalogue does not list an editable copy of it, so none is offered here rather than promising a file nobody has opened. Page counts are not printed either, because we do not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
