Secure partitioning with numerals in this focused Year 3 Spotlight pack. Every question practises one skill: completing part-whole models and sentences such as 73 has 7 tens and 3 ones. Differentiated in three ways: Sheet 1: Supported: Pupils partition two numbers and find the whole from two parts. Sheet 2: Core: Larger numbers, and pupils write the full number sentence. Sheet 3: Extended: The whole is a calculation, such as 19 + 60, or is given as 2 tens and 28 ones. Spotlight Sheets focus on one question type at a time, so pupils can practise with confidence before moving on to mixed questions.
