Help Year 3 pupils represent partitioning with this focused Spotlight pack. Every question practises one skill: drawing the tens and ones parts of a part-whole model with lines and dots. Differentiated in three ways: Sheet 1: Supported: The tens part is given, so pupils draw the ones part. Sheet 2: Core: Pupils draw both the tens and the ones parts. Sheet 3: Extended: The whole is a calculation, such as 26 + 8 ones, so pupils work it out first. Spotlight Sheets focus on one question type at a time, so pupils can practise with confidence before moving on to mixed questions.
