The activity builds on the Year 5 Christmas Wordsearch, with words hidden horizontally, vertically or diagonally, in either forward or backwards directions. However, the Year 6 version adds an extra challenge: the words are not given in full. Instead, pupils are provided with a clue, the starting letter of the answer and the number of letters in the word. Children must first use the clue to work out the Christmas-themed word before searching the grid to find it.
