In this Christmas Eve Present Detective activity, Year 2 children read short clues and use their place value knowledge to work out which present is which. Ten presents with two-digit numbers sit at the top of the sheet. Each of the four mysteries gives a few clues, such as the number of tens and ones, odd or even, or 10 more than a number, so children must read carefully and check each clue.
