This Spring themed Year 4 wordsearch is a challenging literacy activity designed to support spelling accuracy, vocabulary development and contextual understanding. It is ideal for use during SPaG lessons, early finisher time, revision sessions or homework. The vocabulary is appropriate for both Year 3 and Year 4 pupils, making this resource particularly useful for consolidation and differentiation. The words used are the same as those in the Year 3 version, allowing for easy progression while increasing the level of challenge. In this wordsearch, there are more cells in the grid, and words can appear horizontally, vertically or diagonally, in both forward and backwards directions. This extended level of difficulty is well suited to Year 4 learners and also works well for Year 3 pupils working at Greater Depth. The spring theme adds seasonal interest, making it an engaging option for the spring term or as part of a themed English or SPaG unit. This resource is ideal for: SPaG or spelling lessons Early finisher tasks Revision and consolidation Homework or home learning A simple yet effective way to stretch and challenge pupils while reinforcing key spelling and vocabulary skills.
This pack is print and go. Our catalogue does not list an editable copy of it, so none is offered here rather than promising a file nobody has opened. Page counts are not printed either, because we do not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Our own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.
