Oh no! Someone has stolen all the Halloween sweets, and someone has knocked over the witch's cauldron. Who did it? In these two Halloween code breakers for Year 3, children answer six questions, find each answer in the code and write down its letter. The letters are muddled up. In one code breaker there is a letter they do not need, and in the other a letter is missing, so children must use reasoning to work out which suspect it is. The code includes numbers close to the real answers, such as 346 and 436, so careful working really matters. What's included: Two code breakers: Who Stole the Sweets? and Who Spilled the Potion? A teacher information page for each code breaker Full answer pages Editable PowerPoint and ready-to-print PDF Skills covered: Place value to 1,000 Adding and subtracting 1s, 10s and 100s 3, 4 and 8 times tables and division facts 100 more and 100 less Ideal for a Halloween maths lesson, the last week before half term, early finishers, partner work or a spooky starter.
This pack is listed as editable, so the editable copy comes with it. We do not print page counts here, because our catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
