Start the new year with this thoughtful and engaging Year 3 New Year wishes and goals writing activity. Designed to encourage children to reflect on the previous year and think positively about the year ahead, this resource provides an opportunity for pupils to develop their writing skills while expressing their own ideas, wishes and goals. Children are encouraged to think about their experiences from the previous year before considering what they would like to achieve, learn or experience in the new year. This provides a meaningful context for children to practise writing about themselves, their aspirations and their plans. A word bank is included to support children with their writing. The words have been selected from the Year 3 and 4 statutory spelling list, giving pupils an opportunity to apply important statutory spellings in a meaningful piece of writing rather than practising them in isolation. The activity can help children develop vocabulary, sentence construction, spelling and written expression, while also encouraging them to communicate their thoughts and ideas clearly. This New Year writing activity is ideal for use at the beginning of the spring term, providing a positive way to welcome children back to school after the Christmas holidays. It can be used as part of an English or writing lesson, for independent writing or as a classroom activity. This Year 3 New Year writing activity is ideal for: Year 3 children New Year writing activities Reflective writing Wishes and goals writing English and literacy lessons Independent writing Vocabulary development Year 3 and 4 statutory spellings Applying spelling words in context Beginning-of-year classroom activities A purposeful New Year writing activity for Year 3 that encourages children to reflect on the past year, set goals and express their hopes for the year ahead while practising Year 3 and 4 statutory spellings.
This pack is print and go. Our catalogue does not list an editable copy of it, so none is offered here rather than promising a file nobody has opened. Page counts are not printed either, because we do not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
