Something spooky is hiding in the grid! In these five Halloween mystery pictures for Year 1, children work out an adding or subtracting fact in each square, then colour it using the answer key to reveal a pumpkin, a ghost, a black cat, a skull and a spider. The grids are 8 × 8, so they are manageable for Year 1. Three pictures use facts within 10 and two use facts within 20, so teachers can choose the right level. A wrong colour stands out in the picture, so children can check their own work. What's included: 5 mystery pictures: Pumpkin, ghost, black cat, skull and spider A teacher information page for each picture Coloured answer pages showing each finished picture Editable PowerPoint and ready-to-print PDF Skills covered: Adding and subtracting within 10 Adding and subtracting within 20 Number bonds Following a colour key Ideal for a Halloween maths lesson, early finishers, a calm afternoon activity, a fluency starter or the last week before half term.
This pack is listed as editable, so the editable copy comes with it. We do not print page counts here, because our catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
